1. Who we are
This website, shaunbagwellmasonry.net, is operated by Shaun Bagwell Masonry, a sole-proprietor masonry contractor based in Alpine, California ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information we collect through the website, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have — including how we use cookies.
It applies to this website only. Information you give us in person, on a job site or in a signed contract is handled as part of that business relationship.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the estimate request form we collect:
- Required: your name, phone number and the type of work you're interested in.
- Optional: your email address, the project address and a message describing the project.
If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to tell us, along with your phone number or email address.
Information collected automatically
With a form submission, we also record the page you submitted from, the general type of device (mobile, tablet or desktop), the country your connection appears to come from, and a one-way, salted fingerprint of your IP address. We use that fingerprint only to limit repeated or automated submissions; it cannot be turned back into your IP address, and we do not store the IP address itself.
When you tap or click a "call" button, we record that the click happened: which button it was, the page it was on, the date and time, the device type, the country, and the website you arrived from (if any). This record contains no name, no phone number, no IP address and no cookie or other identifier, so it cannot be used to recognize you or link your visits together. We use it only to count how many people reach us by phone, and from where on the site.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and request details to deliver the website and protect it from attacks and abuse. See section 5.
What we don't collect
We don't take payments through this website, and we don't ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, or health information. Please don't include that kind of information in the message box.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your request, arrange a site visit, and prepare an estimate or proposal.
- To contact you about your request by phone or, if you gave one, by email.
- To carry out work you hire us for and keep the records a contractor needs to keep.
- To understand, in aggregate, how people contact us, so we can improve the website.
- To keep the website secure, and to prevent spam and abuse of the form.
- To comply with the law and protect our legal rights.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing newsletters.
6. How long we keep information

7. How we protect information
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions are stored in a private database that is not publicly accessible. The administration area is password protected, locks out repeated failed sign-ins, and stores its password only in hashed form. No method of storing or transmitting data is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the information we hold.
8. Your choices and rights
Anyone can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate;
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal obligation or a contract with you; or
- Stop contacting you about a request.
To make a request, call (619) 581-2492 or email shaun.bagwell@yahoo.com. We may need to confirm your identity, usually by checking details you gave us, before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 45 days.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents the rights to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and it protects you from discrimination for exercising those rights. To the extent the law applies to our business, you have those rights. Either way, we honor the requests above for everyone. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not collect sensitive personal information through this website.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of the agent's authority.
"Shine the Light" (California Civil Code §1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Outside the United States
This website is intended for people in Southern California. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
9. Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
The website links to other sites, such as the California Contractors State License Board, Google Maps and review platforms. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change, including before adding analytics or any other tool that collects information. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
